The FCO is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The Board has the fiduciary duty of overseeing the governance, financial health, and strategic direction of the organization. The Board is comprised of community members, business representatives, and individuals who share a common desire to support the Fenton Community Orchestra.
Board members commit to:
• Serve on the board for a three-year term
• Support the organizations fundraising efforts
• Attend and participate in monthly board meetings (currently meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)
• Volunteering on one or more FCO committees (Governance/Nominating, Finance, Fund Development, Event Support)
• Promote the FCO within our community
Skills and interests that are helpful: Finance, Fundraising, Marketing, Legal, Nonprofit Management, Community Engagement, Grant Writing, DEI (Diversity, equity and inclusion)
