OUR MISSION
The Fenton Community Orchestra provides a place for musicians of all ages to connect through music and offers uplifting, educational, and entertaining programs, both for our members and our audiences.

Membership is open to musicians from age 14 and up, provided they have the desire to play and learn together.

OUR STRATEGIC PILLARS
1. Creating Opportunities for Musicians to participate in a Community Orchestra under qualified artistic leadership.
2. Enriching Community Life by sharing the Orchestra experience and performing arts with all citizens.
3. Engaging stakeholders to advance the sustainability of the organization and its mission.

OUR HISTORY
The Fenton Community Orchestra was founded in August 2010 by three Fenton residents who wanted the opportunity to play in a multi-generational orchestra. Now in its thirteenth season, FCO has grown to more than 90 orchestra members and added a 40-member Simply Strings ensemble, performing to thousands of audience members every year. FCO is a regional organization with members from Fenton, Byron, Hartland, Linden, Holly, Flint, Davison, Swartz Creek, Davisburg, Grand Blanc, Durand, Howell, Frankenmuth, and Clarkston. Since the beginning, more than 200 musicians have performed with the FCO ensembles.

LATEST NEWS

Fenton Community Orchestra combined with Simply Strings performed in Grand Rapids at the 2023 Michigan Music Conference. They served as the demonstration group for Maestro Andy Perkins' and Dr. Jeffrey Malecki's session "Weird Flex - but OK. Making flexible arrangements work for your ensemble."
