Operations Manager - Part-Time - Click here for full job description
The Operations Manager will maintain the business office of the organization. Duties include concert/event planning; communications with musicians, donors, volunteers, and community including e-communications, social media and website; financial management including banking, QuickBooks, donor tracking; marketing/advertising for concerts including developing concert programs; fundraising and community engagement including outreach to existing and potential patrons. Skills required include excellent communication and organization skills. Computer skills including Excel, QuickBooks, and social media. This is a flexible position that works remotely. Must be available to attend (in-person) rehearsals, concerts, board meetings and other events as necessary or as requested. This is contract position (January 2022 through June 30, 2023) and possibly of extending through June 2024 and beyond. Hours may vary by week depending on time of the season and scheduled events, work-from-home office. Compensation commensurate with experience. The FCO is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors. The board has the fiduciary duty of overseeing the governance, financial health, and strategic direction of the organization. The board is comprised of community members, business representatives, and individuals who share a common desire to support the Fenton Community Orchestra.
Board members commit to:
• Serve on the board for a three-year term
• Support the organizations fundraising efforts
• Attend and participate in monthly board meetings (currently meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)
• Volunteering on one or more FCO committees (Governance/Nominating, Finance, Fund Development, Event Support)
• Promote the FCO within our community
